Those are classic, I never saw these before…
Thanks for an excellent caricature of car sales people. What are these for?
Once you get their trust… Kabowee!

An advertising company developed these. We never used them, but hey come up in a lot of trainings I have been to. They play them during breaks to lighten up everyone’s mood.
AH, hahhahaha!
Yes, those are awesome. Repulsive, but awesome. Thank you for sharing them.

Too funny – but that is how some dealers work.

Very funny! I like the catch phrase “tired of being badgered?” with the wise guy badger as the salesman. I think I know him!

I have a friend who was at one time in the car business. He was at one time the manager of a dealership, among his other accomplishments. He was single, and he did so well he could afford to ruin his life without a concern for anyone else.
I got to know him after his car selling days, and recovery.
Both of us enjoyed watching the movie Tin Men, even though it focused a bit on the seamy side of sales.
He had a story that I never tired of bringing up in the proper context of our conversations. In fact it got to the point where he would know what I was going to say and we just look at each other and laugh.
It was one of his favorite moments in selling,
and it became mine in listening to him.
For those of you who have never been in sales this may not hold much humor, and in my telling it on paper it loses so much compared to hearing my friend recount it.
The outline of the story is that one evening when he just got into the business and was on the showroom floor a couple wandered in to look around.
When he approached them they said they were just looking, didn’t have anything special in mind and were not in the market.
He struck up a conversation and they started to look around at cars that were on display as he got to know them and what they might have in mind if they were to buy a car.
They did find one that caught their eye but insisted they were not in the market for a car.
He got them to sit down at his desk and got the conversation around to what they might pay if they were interested and what monthly payments would work.
There would be no trad-in because they were not buying a car.
Well, with the car that they wanted before them and the means to obtain it so workable they bought the car.
Everyone was happy with the evening.
Here’s the punch line, and I’m laughing as I type this because I can see and hear my friend deliver the line, as the couple was walking out
with my friend escorting them to the door he heard the wife say to her husband “We only came out for a loaf of bread.”
Okay, okay, I agree, it’s a story that has to heard live from my friend, but I’m laughing.
Great story. As a salesperson you know you did an awesome job when that happens.
LOL! Thanks
It’s cheered upmy Monaday.
